Causes and Risk Factors
The direct causes of Paranoid PD are still unknown. It is thought that the Paranoid PD is a mixture of biological and environmental factors combined together. It is also known that this disorder is found more often in families with a history of schizophrenia and delusion disorders. One final contributing factor may be an early childhood trauma.
